Vanilla

Over the years, we have developed expertise in the field of vanilla.
We can thus guarantee our partners a product of the highest quality.

The vanilla tree is a liana of the orchid family which grows under shade around a stake (shrub).

Pollination

Flowers must be pollinated by hand to produce fruit; during flowering, the "matchmakers" roam the vanilla plantations and put the pistil in contact with the stamens, flower by flower (see film). Only ten pods per inflorescence are brought to maturity.

Pollination video

In this video made in Vohibao, Séverine pollinates the flowers of Vanilla Planifolia one by one.
